AdHoc Presents: Vundabar

Vundabar is a Boston rock band who write rambunctious, garage and post-punk influenced tunes with ear-worm melodies. Their loose, open song structures allow for shifting paces and space to slide across the continuum from light indie to heavy rock. Lead singer Brandon Hagen’s vocal delivery is scattered and unpredictable; he will yelp and scream as soon as he’ll utter a soft falsetto or a chanting, conversational monotone. Though their lyrical content can get dreary, Vundabar retains a playful sense of sarcasm to leave the listener in an optimistic, cathartic state.
