For 40+ years WFMU DJ Irwin Chusid has tried—and failed—to launch a calypso revival.
Come celebrate four decades of failure with platters by Mighty Sparrow, Lord Kitchener, Duke of Iron, Mighty Zebra, Wilmoth Houdini, Two Gun Smokey, Lord Melody, and others. Union Pool stocks the following rum: Sailor Jerry, Malibu, Gosling’s, Bacardi, and Flor de Caña. (Irwin highly recommends 1, 3, and 5)
The party continues when WFMU’s Dave the Spazz commandeers the turntables at 6 pm.
